A VibeApp or a classic app, what changes

In a classic application, the person adapts to the application. A VibeApp adapts to the person. This page compares the two on the same request, so you can choose.

A customer wants to organise a trip.

  • In a classic application, the customer goes through screens in a fixed order: destination, dates, number of travellers, flight, hotel, options. Every customer sees the same screens, even those they do not need.
  • In a VibeApp, the customer writes what they want. A team of AI specialists works out what this trip needs. The application shows a choice of flights, then a choice of hotels within what is left of the budget, then asks about dinner only if it makes sense for this trip.

How a request startsThe person finds the right screen and fills in fields. The person describes the need in their own words.
The pathThe same for everyone, decided in advance. It depends on the request and on what the person chooses.
Unusual casesEach one needs a new screen or a new rule. The team handles it, and asks when a decision belongs to the person.
Who does the work between two screensCode written by developers.A team of AI specialists that you built in the Studio.
Changing how the work is doneA developer changes the application. You change the team in the Studio. The application stays the same.
The same request, twiceAlways the same result. The result can vary, because an AI model works on it.
  • Your data and your rules. A VibeApp can read and fill your tables, and a team can use a workflow for the steps that must follow fixed rules.
  • Your approvals. A person can still be asked to approve before anything is sent or changed.
  • Classic screens. Most VibeApps mix the two: ordinary screens for what is simple and fixed, such as a list of past requests, and a team for what needs judgement.

When a classic application is the better choice

Section titled “When a classic application is the better choice”

A classic application is right when everyone needs the same thing.

  • The path never changes and has few cases. A form does the job, faster and at no cost per request.
  • The result must be exactly the same every time, for example a calculation.
  • Each request must cost nothing to run. In a VibeApp, each request uses the AI model, and your provider bills you for it.
  • You must know who did what. Agentivity has no login today. If your application needs accounts and rights, it has to provide them itself.

A VibeApp is better where each request is a little different, where the cases are complicated, or where people give up in a form.

  • People do not know which screen or which form they need. They know what they want.
  • The cases are many and different, and you cannot draw a screen for each.
  • The work needs several skills: reading, comparing, writing, checking.
  • You want to change the way the work is done without rebuilding the application.

One app for one job, or one portal for all your teams.
